June 11-15 - REGISTER
July 16-20 - REGISTER
What are YOU doing during summer break? HON is offering THREE weeks of summer service opportunities for youth ages 11-18! Youth will benefit from education on different issue areas and exposure to a variety of nonprofits. Youth will make a difference and have memorable experiences by tackling everything from making a home more energy efficient and building wheelchair ramps to packing and serving lunch to the homeless.
Volunteers ages 11-18 are encouraged to sign up for one or multiple projects depending on interest and availability. Local volunteer groups are encouraged. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up a group.
Nashville Public Library
The Nashville Public Library is a rewarding and fun place to volunteer. Our volunteers are diverse and we love them both young and old! Teen volunteers, with their parent or guardian’s permission, may begin volunteering with the Nashville Public Library as young as 13. If you haven’t signed up to volunteer yet, what are you waiting for? You can get the process started now! - LEARN MORE |
Hands on Nashville & Youth Volunteer Corps
Celebrating our 20th year as Middle Tennessee’s volunteer resource center, Hands On Nashville is one of the largest HandsOn Network affiliates in the country. In 2010, we connected nearly 200,000 volunteers with service opportunities, facilitating volunteer work for 737 Middle Tennessee nonprofits, schools, government agencies, faith-based organizations, civic groups and businesses. HON volunteers support 25 issue areas ranging from hunger and homelessness to at-risk youth and seniors in need. - LEARN MORE

The YVC is:
- A service-learning program for ages 11-18 in Middle Tennessee.
- A great way for clubs or sports teams to volunteer together.
- A fun way to get those community service hours crossed off your to-do list.
- An easy way for teens to help address the issues they care about most, like hunger, homelessness, literacy, and the environment.
Habitat for Humanity
Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity plays an active role in the development and construction of affordable housing units. We collaborate with many other housing providers and community-based agencies. All persons must generally be 18 years of age or older to volunteer at a build site to build homes. Youth 16 and 17 years old may volunteer at the build site ONLY if they are supervised by an adult, 21 years of age or older, with a ratio of no less than one adult for every five youth. For insurance reasons, no one under the age of 16 will be allowed on the build site during house builds. All persons must generally be 16 years of age or older to volunteer at the HomeStores, HomeWORKs or NAHFH Offices. Age restriction exceptions for special volunteer projects may be made on a case by case basis. - LEARN MORE
Room in the Inn
The story of Room In The Inn’s Campus for Human Development is a story of hope. Since 1986 we have provided programs and services to those most in need in Middle Tennessee. We are an interfaith organization rooted in communities of faith. In assessing the needs of the homeless, we have a unique vision that is different from government and for-profit corporations. Our work is not a quick fix, nor is it without its challenges. Each time we touch the life of one in need, we see God's plan at work. We see God’s message of hope. Join with us as we write the next chapter in this story. - LEARN MORE || Youth Volunteer Opportunities
